I love history and I love to visit the
northeastern United States because
some of the oldest history of our
country happened here.
This is the home of Dr. William
Robinson, built in 1690 in what
is now Clark, New Jersey.
Dr. Robinson was one of the first
known physicians in the area.
The house was built on a
700 acre farm. Dr. Robinson
and his family came from Scotland.
The house is listed on the National
Register of Historic Places and is
an example of late 17th century
frame construction.
Five families have occupied the
house since 1690. In 1973 the
township acquired the house and
it opened as a museum in 1978.
