Lockerbie Square, Indianapolis

A Day in the Historic District

Today I spent the day roaming around the
historic district called Lockerbie Square
in Indianapolis.

I toured the James Whitcomb Riley house,
an historic house from the late Victorian period
filled with authentic furnishings and decor.

Lockerbie Square was settled by Irish, Scottish
and German immigrants and was considered
a suburb of Indianapolis when settled.

Walking through the cobblestone streets
was a lovely way to spend a quiet Saturday.
