Cox Scholars Initiation

The Cox Scholars of Indiana University
were officially inducted into the program
on Sunday, September 16.

We started with a lovely luncheon.

Jesse and Beulah Cox donated over
90 million dollars to Indiana University
to establish the Cox Scholars Program.
A select group of students are awarded
the scholarship each year and they will
work within the community or participate
in research programs.

Our son Brennan has the honor of
being a part of this group as a Cox
Research Scholar.  The research scholars
are paired with mentors and conduct
research within their field of study.

"The greatest power on earth is accumulated
knowledge.  Your success and understanding
of life will rest on the foundation you build
while studying the distilled wisdom of the ages.
Knowledge will be one of your greatest treasures."
                                          ~ Jesse Cox

Of the thousands of applicants, twelve
research scholars were chosen this year
and one of them was Brennan's fellow
Indiana Academy alum and great friend, Sam.

Good luck to all the Cox Scholars and thank
you to Beulah and Jesse Cox ~ your legacy
will live on through these students.
