Today I attended a festival that
celebrated the art of Belly Dancing.
I love the beauty of it all.
From the costumes to the music
to the dancing and especially
the women who participated.
What a sisterhood!
There were solo artists and group acts.
Many of the performances were
the traditional cabaret style that
I was familiar with but there were
also some very interesting tribal dances.
I think the term belly dancing may
be misleading, I thought the hips
were the main body part that moved.
And the shopportunity was fun too.
