Civil War Remembered ~ Block 51

New York


We are quilting along with Barbara
Brackman's 2011 Civil War Quilt.

I wonder if Barbara knew many of us would
be wildly busy with holiday festivities this
weekend, so she gave us an easy block?

I just followed the instructions this week,
the only thing I would add is, when strip piecing
be sure to begin your seams from opposite
ends each time so your block will not arc and bow.

    Why are youcalling this Block 51 and Barbara calls it 50?

    It will seem strange not to check the block of the week. Even though I am behind I am done quilting for Christmas and can get back to catching up. This has been fun and I have enjoyed your blog.
