An Evening With Julia & Ellen

I am visiting New Jersey and a few nights
ago a group of old college friends got together
to reminisce and well, eat!  Of course, given
the name of the event, the recipes were all
a la Julia Child.

Okay, this was Italian but the Bruschetta on
Toast was just so good it had to be included.

We chatted and caught up while enjoying
a platter of Brie, grapes and crackers.

Once we were at the table we started with
a salad of Pear and Spinach with Gorgonzola.
Walnuts and Raspberries.

This was followed by Boeuf Bourguignon
a la Julia, Baby Potatoes and Green Beans.

Then a palate cleanser of Lemon Sorbet
in Champagne.

And to end the evening, French Macarons,
Meringues and the piece de resistance,
Queen of Sheba cake.

Merci Beaucoup Mes Amis!
I love you!
