Cafe Life ~ Istanbul

Down a tiny, dark alley in the Sultanahmet
District of Istanbul, we found a little place to
take refuge from the cold and rain.  We have
had lovely weather for the past few weeks but
today cold and rain finally arrived.  This was
off the tourist path, much more a part of the
old hippy trail.  In fact the couple at the next
table had just arrived from India and wanted
a narghile (hookah pipe) with caffiene so they
could stay awake.

We were chilled to the bone so a couple
of bowls of lentil soup were perfect.

We noshed on some hummus and
delicious pita bread.

Afterwards we enjoyed some backgammon...

and some tea, of course.
