What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?

I have celebrated New Year's Eve in many ways
through the years.  When I was a teen I was only
allowed out with other teens until 11pm because
my Father never wanted me to be in a car after
midnight since he was concerned about drunk
drivers.  As I got a bit older, my sister and I would
go to see the New Year's Eve performance of the
Joffrey Ballet in New York City.  In my college
years, I went to parties and dinners in NYC.  Once
I married and moved to the Midwest I started having
quiet evenings at home.  One year we did take the
kids to New York for New Year's ~ early in the
evening we met Harry Potter (Dan Radcliffe) after
his performance in Equus  and later rang in the
New Year in Times Square.

This is what Times Square looks like at about 12:20am
on New Years eve.  Where do all the people go???

Tonight I celebrated the New Year in my
favorite way, we walked across the back 40
to my celebrate with my sister.  Just a simple
evening with some snacks and good company.

And we toasted to the New Year with
Kir Royales.

Happy New Year everyone!
