We are quilting along with Barbara

Brackman's Civil War Quilt 2011.

Fabric Requirements:

1 - 8 1/2" square - Gold

Fabric scraps for applique templates

with Heat & Bond applied to the wrong

side.  Trace shapes onto the paper of the

Heat & Bond and cut out, remove paper.

The templates are available in a link from

Barbara's Civil War Blog.

Layout applique shapes on 8 1/2"

square and adhere to fabric following

manufacturer's directions. 

Applique edges as desired.  I used a

hand sewn blanket stitch using 2 ply

embroidery floss.
