Sweet Seasons ~ Block #2

2011 Redbud Block of the Month


The February meeting of the Redbud Quilt Guild
in Anderson, Indiana was cancelled today
due to the bad weather we have had.
 I thought you may have cabin fever and
want to get to work on the next block in
our series.

Fabric Requirements:

Fabric A:  White
8 - 4 1/4" squares - Mark a diagonal line on back

Fabric B:  Burgundy
6 - 4 1/4" squares

Fabric C:  Dark Green
2 - 4 1/4" squares

Sew using a scant 1/4" seam.



Make Half Square Triangles:

Pair 4 1/4" squares right sides together
in the following combinations:

6 - A/B            2 - A/C

Sew 1/4" away from each side of drawn
line, cut on drawn line & press
to the darker fabric.
Square to 3 1/2".


Make Quarter Units:

Layout units as shown.
Sew together in 2 rows.



Sew rows together .
Square to 6 1/2".

Make 4.



Assemble Block:

Layout units as shown.
Sew together in 2 rows.


Sew rows together.
Square to 12 1/2".
