Frugal & Fancy Quilt Exhibit

Indiana State Museum

I spent Mother's Day afternoon
browsing through the Indiana
State Museum's Frugal & Fancy
Quilt Exhibit.  I hope you enjoy
seeing what they had to show.

Though I find the fancy quilts
to be beautiful I find myself
drawn to the frugal quilts.  I
suppose I think of how important
those scraps of fabric would have
been to a family on a cold winter's
night.  I also love the fact that though
they were utilitarian, they were still
something the maker took time with.
They were their art.

Which quilts are you drawn to?
