Civil War Remembered - Block 7

Log Cabin


We are quilting along with
Barbara Brackman.  Check out:


I made two blocks this week.
The one above is the one we were
given this week but I prefer Log Cabin
blocks with thinner logs as shown in
the first photo.


Though born in Kentucky, Abraham Lincoln
moved to Indiana when he was 8 years old.


It was an area of rolling hills and shady
forest with bears and many wild animals.


It was here that young Abraham had
some schooling where he learned to read,
 write and cipher to the Rule of Three.

  2. I love BOTH blocks! I made mine with the wider strips and then made another one in the Courthouse Steps layout. Now I want one with the thinner strips too!!!!! Just might have to go and make one right now!!
