The Ongoing Search for Inspiration
Artists are always seeking inspiration.
It is a never ending process.
I'm lucky since I have been
doing this for a long time.
I have journals and sketchbooks
filled with ideas.
I have clip files with tons of things.
And now that we have digital
cameras and cameras in our phones
we can record whatever we come across.
I hope that doesn't mean I'll
ever stop sketching.
I get a lot of inspiration from tilework.
The colors! The designs!
Recently, this tile from Morocco
was the inspiration...
...for this applique design.
And when I slept in this bed in Spain,
I always had inspiring dreams!
