Sweet Seasons ~ Block 6

Fabric Requirements:

Fabric A: White Print:
8 - 2 1/2" squares
1 - 4 1/2" square

Fabric B: Blue
4 - 2 1/2" squares
4 - 2 1/2" squares - Mark
a diagonal line on back.

Fabric C: Red
4 - 2 1/2" squares
4 - 2 1/2" squares - Mark
a diagonal line on back

Fabric D: Green
4 - 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" rectangles

Fabric E : Yellow
4 - 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" rectangles


Make Corner 4 Patch:
Layout squares as shown.  Sew
together in 2 rows, press row 1
to the left and row 2 to the right.
Sew rows together and press seam
to the bottom. Square to 4 1/2".
 Make 4.


Make Outer Center Units:
Place Fabric B 2 1/2" square
on Fabric D rectangle and
Fabric C 2 1/2" square on
Fabric E rectangle as shown
in diagram.  Sew a thread
width above drawn line.
Press the B/D seam to the
B fabric and press the C/E
seam to the E fabric. 


Trim the back layers of
fabric to 1/4".


Layout 2 rectangles as shown
and sew on long edge.  Press
seam open to reduce bulk.  
Square to 4 1/2".  Make 4.


Layout units as shown and
sew together in 3 rows.  Press
rows 1 and 3 to the outside and
row 2 to the inside.  Sew rows
together.  Square to 12 1/2".
